WHAT IS CBD?

CBD is a lipid protein extracted from the cannabis plant used to manufacture end user products. Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of hundreds of cannabinoids found in the plant. Another familiar cannabinoid is THC. A major difference between CBD and THC is that CBD doesn’t produce a psychoactive effect on the mind. Today CBD is popular in many different products including CBD topicals, edibles, and smokables.

IS CBD LEGAL?

CBD became federally legal with the USDA since the passing of Farm Bills 2014 and 2018, meaning CBD is legally able to cross between state lines within the USA. This bill made distinctions between marijuana and hemp. The only difference being hemp has ≤ 0.3% THC while marijuana has > 0.3% THC. Please check your state’s CBD legality status for more information.

WHAT IS CBD MADE FROM?

CBD is extracted from the hemp plant (cannabis with legal limits of THC). After the oil is initially pressed out of the hemp plants it goes through several phases of refinement. The final stage of the process is called isolation. The result is pure CBD Isolate powder. CBD Isolate can then be added to a host of oil based end products.

WILL CBD MAKE ME FEEL HIGH?

No. The psychoactive feeling you hear about in the cannabis plant comes from a different cannabinoid called THC.

HOW OFTEN CAN I TAKE CBD?

Most CBD consumers use it on a daily basis. There is not a definitive usage rule for CBD consumption. First, start with the recommended dosage on the product label. From there, listen to your body and increasing or decreasing the dosage amount as needed.
