Tamar Hill

Co-Founder, CEO

Tamar Hill is one of the co-owners and CEO of Pacific Roots. Tamar received a Bachelors’ Degree in Kinesiology at Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA and went on to receive a Masters Degree in Teaching Biology. She taught biology at La Cananda High School in La Cananda, CA for 16 years as well as coaching the Girls Varsity Basketball team for 14 years.
In 2014, Hill launched the Pasadena Kona Ice franchise with one truck and soon grew her fleet to 3 trucks and 2 mini trucks before selling the franchise in 2019. After Tamar sold her Kona Ice franchise, her brother, Trevor Hill, convinced her to bring the skills she had learned as a business owner and entrepreneur into the CBD business and created a family company that people can trust with Pacific Roots and Bulkanna.
